Honeymoon Is Over! (A Note About Chakra Psychology Intensive Program Batch I, 2015)

Karmarati conducted Chakra Psychology Intensive Program Batch I in January 2015. There were 19 participants joining and almost all completed the whole 16 hours program in four sessions. (I am very grateful for their participations and active involvement!)
Some activities involved including theory of psychology of the Chakra System; self-empowerment technique (self-inquiry practices and yoga self-practice short sequence); discussion with current and up-to-date issues; chanting, pranayama and meditation.

What seemed to capture the most attention was the discussion on the subject of “Emotional Blackmail” that we usually encounter in the daily basis. How our actions were sometime based on fear, guilt and obligation; instead of love, understanding, awareness and compassion. We sometimes feel uncomfortable to say “no” in rejecting a request that is against our will, and too afraid to say it. Or, the classic threat we received in the name of obligation (mark that word, my friends!), when we were oblige to do and act certain ways although our conscience disagreed. Does that sound familiar to you?

Through understanding ourselves within our energy realm in Chakra world, we would be able to navigate with awareness in our lives. Furthermore, be helpful to others, be courageous in facing challenges, be empowered to live our dreams and heal ourselves.
Could we actually gain all that after “only” four-time sessions? Well, realistically not, if we don’t continue our practice and start with the intention to empower ourselves.
The theory is to be accepted and be understood. The practice is what brings our understanding into application and action. We need them both together to support our self-integration.

I notice that in any spiritual tradition we learned (or, in everything we learned!), there is a “honeymoon period”. It is the time when we feel good, high in euphoria, wishing to stay forever in the world of “ideas”. That is not a bad thing at all. But forget not, what ever goes up must come down. All the feel-good sensations need to return to their “nest” in our being, must be expressed mentally and physically into manifested actions.
So, we can’t avoid the fact that practice is extremely important. No one can change our habits but us. No one can change our lives but us. Remember those empowering insights!

PS: Please expect the upcoming Chakra Psychology Intensive Program Batch II in August 2015!

Bright blessings of love.
Namaste.
